Basically Improv
An introduction to improvisational theater

--SPOILER-- April 4th, 2009, 11 AM --SPOILER--

This is for those who are beginning improvisers, those who have never improvised before, or anyone looking for a back-to-basics opportunity. Explore in a low-risk environment, that’s designed to be just for fun with nobody watching. We will be covering fundamental skills and basic approaches to improv. Session topics can include terminology, initiation, object work, and character development.

If you are a UMKC student, this class is FREE, thanks to Communiversity.
For everybody else, registration is $15. To enroll or to inquire further, email the instructor, Scott Connerly, at scott@connerly.net, call 515/451.9414
--SPOILER-- Class will be held at Eljay's Coffee House, 412 Delaware St, Kansas City, MO 64105 --SPOILER--

About the instructor:
Scott Connerly has been performing improv comedy for the last 5 years, and teaching for the last year. He has workshopped with many wonderful instructors, including (but not limited to!) Dave Razowsky, Susan Messing, Charna Halpern, Jill Bernard, Rich Talarico, Craig Cackowski, and Jesse Parent.

From a previous session of this class :
If anyone's on the fence for next week, SHOW UP! (Or prod your n00b friends to do so.) The workshop was helpful and fun, and Scott set a comfortable tone for learning. Totally worth being up that early on a Saturday, and a better use of money than lots of things, alcohol included.
